Paints such profound stillness I stand for a long time staring At the softness of the edge Between nothing and the shutters, One hundred and six years later it is Four am and there is just enough light To make out this room in soft blacks And I did not capture The profound stillness but there is always The impossible awareness At the edges of darkness.
